Hosted Mail Services
Primus Data Centre offers a fully functional mail hosting
solution. This allows each customer to receive mail
for their own internet domain. We also offer extended
mail functionality such as:
- Aliases: This allows multiple email
address on the same account
- Distribution Lists: This is when
email destined for a single email address is forwarded
to multiple email addresses.
- Mail Forwarding: This is when an
email that is sent to one account is automatically
forwarded to another.

Currently the following mail protocols are supported:
Configuring Mail Clients
The following details are all that is required to configure
your mail client to connect to your hosted mail service
- Username: This will be of the form
username@yourdomain.com and is listed on
your Customer Configuration Guide.
- Password: This will be listed on
your Customer configuration Guide.
- Pop3 Server: mail.primusdatacentre.com.au
- SMTP Server: mail.primusdatacentre.com.au
(Authentication required, see setup notes on Outlook
Express)
- If you mail client does not allow the Authentication
option you can use one of the following
- smtp.iprimus.com.au (if using Iprimus dialup
or broadband)
- Smtp server as specified by your dialup
provider
